How to change the look and feel of the menu bar like shown in sampler?

Hi,

When I goto the sampler, there is a graphic of a menubar that is gray, but when I select the menubar example, it shows a black menubar. Is there a way to specify the gray menubar in the graphic?

Thanks,

Mark

Do you mean background color and stuff like that ? If yes use a custom theme and put some css in it with the tags below :

.v-menubar { }
.gwt-MenuItem {}
.gwt-MenuItem-selected {}

If not then I do not understand your question.

Yes, thats what I mean.

If you go here:

Sampler Menu bars: http://demo.vaadin.com/sampler#Menubars

then you will see the style that I would like to see. I was hoping that there was a theme style or built in style I could use as there must have been one at some point, right??

Thanks,

Mark

.v-menubar {
background : grey;
color : black;
}
.gwt-MenuItem {
background : grey;
color : black;
}
.gwt-MenuItem-selected {
background : blue;
color : white;
}

something like that (i’m just guessing css is something you’ll have to try out)

Hi,

OK, thanks for your help. I’m also going to give the Chameleon add on component a try as it has some nice theme capabilities.

Cheers,

Mark

Whats more important install firefox, install add-on firebug it helps discovering css… and it’s the way I learned alot what css to use …
