hotkey management, windows 7

Another application in windows 7 has defined a hotkey (e.g., alt-ctrl-c) to be started by it. There is the need to override this usage and to catch/handle the key event instead within a Vaadin application, running, e.g., in firefox.

Is there any chance to achieve this by Vaadin means? Or must the existing hotkey be deactivated outside Vaadin by OS (Windows 7) means?

It is possible to override browser’s shortcut keys:

But, unfortunately it won’t override Windows hotkeys (tried it)… Thus, you need to deactivate it in the OS.

Hello Johannes, many thanks for the kind answer.
