Build duration to long

Hi, I try to test the bakery app with vaadin 14 in Eclipse.
When I run the Application as spring boot app it tooks very long to run the application. If I stop the App and run again, the duration is still too long.

How can I make the build faster? Is this since the integration of nodejs and webpack?
The vaadin 13-app was really fast during the build.

You are probably experiencing a bug that under investigation (or so I have understood).

Quick solution is to set a package whitelist as mentioned here: https://vaadin.com/docs/flow/spring/tutorial-spring-configuration.html

Good luck…!

Which packages should I set to the whitelist? Are these vaadin classes or styles?

Just your own. The Vaadin ones are already done implicitly (see the link).

yes, I mean my vaadin classes? I’m not sure. For example my java packages are com.test.example.foo and com.test.example.bar .
How does my whitlist look like?

You would add the whitelist for deepest super package, so for your example, the entry in your application.properties file becomes:

vaadin.whitelisted-packages=com/test/example,

since this is the super package for both com.test.example.foo and com.test.example.bar.

Please note that the dots become forward slashes.
