Are ComboBox values possible that are not in the bound container?

Hello,

I have a simple question. I use a combobox bound to a container. Type ahead filtering works perfectly.
Is it possible that the user is allowed to enter values not in the item container bound to the box?

I want that the user can enter anything he likes, but if it is already entered, the filtering and completion should be used.

Or is this a textfield bound to some data?

Any hints are welcome.

Thank you

setNewItemsAllowed(true), and remember to set your comboBox immediate. If the DefaultNewItemHandler isn’t enough for your needs set a custom handler with setNewItemHandler(NewItemHandler).

Is is possible with binding? I have combobox with some values, but the data source has value that is not contained in container. The value is not displayed nor added into container even if new items are allowed.
