Absolute Layout does not scroll

Hello everyone,

i have combined an absolute Layout with percentage positioning with a abolute layout with pixel positioning in it.
if the second pixel asolute layout gets larger as the current screen resolution, because there are so many elements in it, it is simply gets cut off. the browser does not enable its scrollbars.

?!? any idea how to prevent this kind of behavior?? anyone? i am running out of options :wink:

thx

Try adding overflow: visible for the layout using CSS. The clipping is the default behavior, AbsoluteLayout by spec doesn’t expand with its contents.

Hi thanks for help,

forgive me if i am wrong … but as i understand u i did something like this:

.v-absolutelayout {
overflow: visible;
}

.v-absolutelayout-wrapper {
overflow: visible;
}

in my current css. but i am afraid it has no effect on my situtation :frowning:

any idea … is there something wring with the css ?

thanks

steffan

No, nothing wrong with that. It was just a suggestion, I hadn’t tried it. I think because the .v-view element has overflow: auto, it won’t show scrollbars. If the body element would have the scrollbars and it was undefined high, I think it would show any overflowing content.

for everyone who has simular problems

to get the layout to scroll use this css:

.v-absolutelayout {
overflow: auto;
}

.v-absolutelayout-wrapper {
overflow: auto;
}

or scroll instead of auto.

worked for me :wink:
