# Using Spring with Vaadin

The Spring framework is a well suited application framework for use with Vaadin. Spring Boot is the recommended way to start developing Vaadin applications.

## <a id="setting-up-a-project"></a>Setting Up a Project

To start a new project with Spring and Vaadin, you can customize a starter from [Vaadin Start](https://start.vaadin.com). Alternatively, you can clone the [Project Base for Vaadin and Spring](https://github.com/vaadin/flow-spring-tutorial) repository.

> **Warning: Spring Session should not be used**
>
> Verify that you do not have dependency of this kind, Redis or Hazelcast, it is not compatible with Vaadin. You should use Kubernetes Kit for session replication instead. .`pom.xml`
