Next February 35 developers from the Vaadin team will be heading to Jfokus conference in Stockholm by ship from Turku. This sounded like lot of fun and some of our fellow Finnish Java-developers started to ask if they might join us on the trip. Jfokus is the nearest good Java conference to Finland so this is an excellent opportunity for every Finnish Java developer to get a two-day update on what's happening around Java.

To make things quite a bit more interesting we decided to arrange a Vaadin Meetup as a "warmup" to Jfokus aboard the ship - on the middle of the icy Baltic sea - during the previous night before Jfokus. We will have an excellent line-up of speakers - David Chandler from Google Web Toolkit team, Arun Gupta from Oracle Glassfish team and Artur Signell from the Vaadin development team. This is also an excellent place to network and to have a beer or two with your fellow Vaadin developers.

You are invited!

The event is free of charge, but a registration is required. More details and registration on the event page.

Hope to meet you there,
Joonas

PS. If did not notice, we are also arranging a smaller Vaadin Meetup at St.Petersburg in January.
